- Classic ABA Services specializes in the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help teach new skills and reduce problematic behavior in children up to 21 years old on the Autism spectrum. We use a variety of ABA strategies that are researched-based to provide the best possible care for your developing child. While these strategies are individually applied to each specific child, they all work to increase your child’s motivation, to engage them in appropriate behaviors, and to reduce the motivation for inappropriate behaviors.
- ABA depends on basic principles of behavior modification to affect meaningful changes in the way your child relates in the community and with their family, and environment. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) apply their knowledge and specialized training to evaluate how your child learns from their environment. BCBA's determine why your child engages in certain behaviors and will work with you to design a plan to help your child meet their goals. Behavior Analysts will supervise a team of Behavior Technicians (RBT) who will work one-on-one with your child to implement that plan, aiming to reduce inappropriate behaviors (hitting, tantrums, screaming, etc.) by teaching more appropriate behaviors to replace them, such as: Play, communication, and social skills.
